“I love partnering with event planners to create unforgettable experiences centered on storytelling.”

April left the North Georgia mountains where she grew up for a six-month visit to California when she was twenty-one years old —  and stayed for thirteen years. She got bit by the hospitality bug and worked in a wide variety of job functions with major global corporations such as Marriott and Gaylord Hotels as well as innovative start-ups, increasingly specializing in hospitality technology. A self-described computer nerd, April says she is most jazzed by how technology can be used to enhance attendee experiences, strategic selling, and event execution and loves partnering with event planners to create unforgettable experiences centered on storytelling.

At BTA, April facilitates experiences for large groups by customizing our flexible content to meet your organizations’ objectives. She also accommodates diverse scheduling details and participant needs to ensure a smooth and seamless event. An experience triathlete (for whom the bike part was her favorite) and cyclist with numerous 100-mile rides under her belt, April says she gets her energy from being with people. It’s no surprise, then, that you’ll even find her out there leading tours. She just loves to have her hands in everything, and appreciates the entrepreneurial nature of BTA because she can apply her diverse operations and marketing skills here. In the future, you may even find her hands-on helping companies plan everything from airport transportation to gala events as part of a complete turnkey package from BTA.

Speaking of being hands on, April’s been digging in the dirt lately planting her first vegetable garden. She’s also this close to completing the entire Georgia section of the Appalachian Trail.
